Lørdag kveld var vi invitert i en bursdagsfest på en tennis klubb. Dere vet jo allerede at jeg elsker å pynte meg, så denne kjolen fikk bli med på festen, og danset seg inn i de sene nattetimene.. If you have not noticed already, I am the girl who always love to dress up. I can always find a reason to wear one of my favorite dresses, as tonight at a friends birthdayparty. The party took place at a Tennis Club, and since we were blessed with the most amazing weather all night. We had so much fun and spent the evening drinking, eating and dancing the night away. Dont you just love my new shoes? And yes, I am a shoe addict, in case you wondered...

Wanted: Orange flip flops

En av de beste tingene jeg vet med sommeren, er at jeg kan kaste sokkene og ta på flip floppene og sandalene. Jeg elsker å gå i åpne sko, for meg er det selve symbolet på at sommeren er igang. Jeg har allerede flere Havaianas (2 par rosa!), men falt helt for disse som passer perfekt til min oransje neglelakk. Siden jeg snart har bursdag, tenkte jeg disse kunne være noe å ønske seg i gave. Har dere selv noen flip flop favoritter?

The first thing that pops into my mind when it starts to get warm in the weather, is the fact that I can wear my beloved flip flops. I love all of my flip flops, from the dressier one with rhinestones to my shocking pink(what else) Havaianas. I own about five pairs already, but seeing this orange one, made me realize that I want another pair to go with my orange nailpolish. I also wish for the rose one, as I am quite shockingly the pink girl after all. And my birtday is coming up, so would this not be a great present? Do you have a favorite colour? If so, do tell!

With a week to go for the premiere here in Oslo, I have been so lucky to get two tickets for the SATC movie at the Norwegian theatres to share with the ladies on my blogg, through a competition. Idag hadde Paleet shopping en happening med mange gavedryss i riktig Sex og Singelliv stil. Man kunne vinne sko, klær og premierebilletter til SATC filmen. Var der en liten time for å titte litt. Endte ikke opp med å kjøpe noe, men fant de kule hvite solbrillene fra Prada og gullskoene fra Michael Kors. En heldig jente vant et gavekort på 10.000kroner..Skulle ønske det var meg!

Todays happening was a celebration of the upcoming movie Sex and the City(almost there!). Paleet, a shopping center in Oslo, handed out tons of gifts and tickets for the premiere of the movie next friday. Lots of girls showed up to shop. I found some great sunglasses from Prada(as seen) and shoes, off course. Did not shop(gasp), but got some great inspiration in the little hour I was there. A lucky girl won a gift certificate for a 2000 dollar shopping spree....Wish it was me! Haha. Have a lovely day everyone!

80tallet var tiden da AHA regjerte MTV med "Take on Me" og filmene Fame og Top Gun gikk på kino. Ballgensere, steinvaskede Levis og svarte lærremmer var et must for alle motebevisste jenter. Egentlig hadde jeg lovet meg selv at jeg aldri skulle begi meg inn på 80tallsmoten igjen, men jeg må innrømme at å gi etter å små doser er helt greit. Hvis du som meg ikke føler for å ta det helt ut, kan du satse på et par hvite pumps, lærremmer(obligatorisk) og en vintage tshirt med trykk. Ønsker du derimot å kjøre full 80tallsstil, er det bare å se på bilder av Madonna, Duran Duran og Whitney Houston fra den tiden.

It was the time when AHAs (Norways most successful popband ever) song "Take on Me" conqured the world on MTV. Lightwashed Levis jeans were the hottest thing in fashion and every cool girl on the planet wore black leather wristbands. Hair was BIG, shoes were white and off course we thought we were very fashionable. I never thought I would wear anything from this area again, untill I saw these white shoes, the print tshirt and the leather bands. How wrong can you be? Off course they are a uppgrade from the 80s with my vintage 70s style skirt, however I stand to be corrected, because I do have to admitt that I love this look! For inspiration and a trip down memory lane, you just have to look at old photos of Madonna, Duran Duran and Whitney Houston.

Safaristilen er tidløs, vakker og klassisk. Har du en kjole som denne fra Donna Karan i skapet(H&M har fine kopier)har du en kjole som fungerer både til jobb og fest. Slipp løs din indre Indiana Jones heltinne og finn den stilen som passer deg best, enten det er kjole, shorts eller jakke med belte. Min favoritt er denne vintagekjolen Carrie hadde på seg i SATC sesong 3..

Love the safari chic look for summer. Its classic, timeless and always in style. Perfect for work or play. Endelig snart helg! Elsker min nye røde kjole som jeg fant i en av Fretex sine butikker. Har tatt masse bilder av butikken på Grunerløkka, så det kommer i en egen post senere. Alle jenter trenger en rød kjole i skapet og tro det eller ei, dette er faktisk min første røde kjole. Til gjengjeld er den helt fantastisk. Skulle ønske jeg kunne hoppe tilbake i tid og svinge meg på dansegulvet på Studio54 i denne kjolen, det hadde vært litt av en fredag!

Hey, you lovely ladies! Its finally friday and the weekend is almost here. Love this dress I got a week back when I when I went to a secondhandstore called Fretex. I will make a seperate post on the Fretex store in Oslo, because it is a great store with many treasures. Every girl needs a red dress in their closet, and this is actually my first. When I put it on it was like stepping back in time, and I wish I could go dancing at Studio54. I love the way the colour of the dress changes in the pictures, in one it almost looks orange. But I will settle for dinner & drinks at a great restaurant, have a nice friday everyone!

The Flower Trend

Etter å ha sett SJP i denne kjolen, fant jeg ut at jeg ønsket meg nok en blomsterkjole. Etter en tur på ebay fant jeg den perfekte kjolen, og inatt ble den min for 100 kroner! Skal legge ut bildet med en gang jeg får den. Når det gjelder blomstertrenden er det lett det blir litt bestemorsaktig, så pass på å bruke kult tilbehør som gladiatorsandaler eller hvite platåpumps for en kul look. Hvis du i tillegg har en clutch i en sterk farge eller en dyreprint, setter du prikken over i en på antrekket. Har også vært på secondhandshopping, så bilder av kjøpene kommer imorgen.


After seeing SJP in this lovely creation, I decided to treat myself to another flower dress( Yes I already have an obscene amount). Last night I won the perfect dress on ebay for a steal, which I will be posting shortly. Perfect with my Nine West heels or white pumps. The flowertrend can fast become a little grandmalooking , so be sure to spike it up with great accesories. If you are daring go for a huge clutch in either one feisty colour or a leopard one. Now thats fashion as I like it! Also, went thrifting and got some great deals, that I will share with you tomorrow.

Elsker dette miniskjørtet fra Asos. Fantastisk blåfarge, men du kan også få det i korall. Perfekte til mine nye sko, som jeg synes var et meget bra kjøp. Dette skjørtet kan du bruke både til en dag på stranden i flip flopper eller en kveld på byen. Pluss på med høye gladiatorsandaler, vintage tshirt og en blazer, så får du en rocka stil. Tror nok denne finner veien til postkassen min i nærmeste fremtid...

Loving this tie dye miniskirt from Asos. It comes in blue or peach and will go perfect with my new shoes(!)that it sounded like most of you liked. This look you can dress up with high heels, or dress down with a pair of flip flops for a cool day at the beach. Pairing it with a tank top is a great idea, but a vintage tee and a denim jacket or a blazer will rock this look. Think this skirt will find its way to my mailbox anytime soon....

Some of you might remember my earlier post about lusting for those blue gladiator heels SJP was wearing. Well, those are out of my budget, but I ordered these thinking they might work. And finally my new shoes arrived! They are from ebay seller AmiShoeStore and a steal! You can get them in several colours and they are really comfortable for such high heels. Perfect as a contrast to this summers flowertrend, it gives an outfit a certain edge.

Gratulerer med dagen! Håper dere har hatt en fantastisk dag, på tross av regn og snø(??)i Tigerstaden. Vi hadde en deilig lunch på Løvebakken med gode venner. Deretter bar det hjem til grilling og mye god mat. Har lurt meg ut fra festen i 5 minutter for å blogge litt, så må komme meg tilbake. Håper dere får en fortsatt fin dag!

Sorry about no text, but have a pretty full day of festivities today! Its been almost summer for 2 weeks, but this morning it was freezing and snowing(???)when we woke up to celebrate our National Day. So, out came tights, boots, jackets and wool skarves. Even though the weather was bad for the first part of the day, the sun finally got through the skyes in the afternoon. Had a wonderful lunch in the city and went home for some barbecuing in the evening. I just slipped out for a quick update to let you in on whats going on. Have a lovely saturday!

Det er nok ingen hemmelighet at jeg liker mesteparten av Nicole Richies stil. Nicole er flink til å gjøre basisantrekk kule, som her med hvit kjole, skinnjakke og printveske. I tillegg er hun ikke redd for å prøve nye ting, som denne vintage Chanel skjortekjolen (som jeg gjerne skulle slått kloen i). Etter at hun sparket stjernestylisten Rachel Zoe, har hun prøvd og feilet en god del. Nå ser det endelig ut til at hun er på riktig vei med å finne sin egen stil..Hva synes dere om stilen, hater den, elsker den eller midt på treet?

As you might have guessed, I love most of Nicole Richies style. I often feel she make basic outfits stand out, like this white dress, leather jacket and that whimsical handbag. On the other hand, shes not afraid of trying out new things like this vintage Chanel shirt dress(that I totally covet). After firing Rachel Zoe, she has had some big up and downs, but I truly believe that to find your style, you need to experiment and that takes a couple of hits and misses. What do you think, love or hate her style? Also, I got som killer heels in the mail today and will try to post a picture of them later...

Lurer du fortsatt på hva du skal ha på deg 17 mai? Da kan jeg fortelle deg at du ikke er alene om det. Vurderer å ha på meg DvF kjolen på det første bildet, men har ikke helt bestemt meg. Mannen min synes det er et luksusproblem med alle de kjolene jeg har i skapet, noe jeg tror gjelder de fleste menn. Skulle gjerne hatt bunad, men det er såpass dyrt at jeg heller håper å arve enn å kjøpe selv. Har du bunad og skal du bruke den, eller går du for en annen type kjole?

So, 17 of May is our national independence day were we all dress up and go down to the city to watch students of all levels march and wave the Norwegian flag towards the castle to see the Royal family. The custom outfit is a Bunad ( see 2 pic) However, it cost about 4ooo dollars. So, you have to either inherit a dress, have tons of money, or like me, wear another dress. The Bunad is a custom dress based on folk dresses and it is has a different style depending on which part of the country you come from. They are used for special celebrations like weddings, christenings and 17 of may. I am contemplating using one of my favorites (I have many!!) the DvF dress in the first picture with a red belt. The Norwegian flag is red, white and blue, and that is a colour combination I love. Opinions?

Alle fashiongirls har et forhold til denne serien som peiler inn på samhold, kjærlighet, vennskap og ikke minst fantastisk mote satt sammen av Patricia Field. Cant wait for the premiere in about 4 weeks time here in Oslo. Even though we have seen outfits and some glimts at the story, I am thrilled that my favorite TVshow of all time is finally coming to the big screen. Dont we all have a relationship with these girls? I mean they put so many issues on the agenda and the girls all have traits we recognize and identify with. Friendship, love and heartache being some. And off course the coveted fashion brought to life by the talented Patricia Field. One of my favorite outfits that really stands out was this pink Oscar de la Renta dress. Why? Because taking me dancing at a Burger King is exactely what my husband would do and my favorite colour is off course, pink.. Do you have a favorite outfit from any of the girls from the series?

Siden det var overskyet idag, passet det godt å ha på en av mine favorittkjoler som vist i Side2 intervjuet. Har gjort fint lite bortsett fra å gå en liten tur å hente meg kaffe. Alt er jo stengt, noe som gjør at det er ganske stille og rolig. Så fantastisk med all blomstringen, flott å se så mye vakker natur. Ikveld blir det grilling og mer avslapning.

Today it was clouded and thus a perfect day to wear one of my favorite dresses as featured in the Side2 interview. I love sundays as I think it is a perfect day to relax and get some energy renewal. So my day amounted to go for a walk to get some coffee. Since tomorrow is a national holiday everything is closed and its so quiet, seems like everybody left town. Enjoyed the spectacular scene of flowers and trees in full bloom, and soaked up on some much needed peace of mind. Oh and one of my best friends whos due date is in three days called (and I do believe you cant turn down a pregnant lady), so thats why I am on the phone in the first picture.

Har lett etter hårbånd med kule stener siden jeg først så denne artikkelen for et par uker siden. Har fremdeles ikke funnet noen bortsett fra de her som alle kjendisene bruker. Men jeg bruker ikke 1000 kroner på det, så nå vurderer jeg å lage et selv. Har dere sett noen som ligner på de på bildene?

Been looking for jeweled headbands ever since I saw this article, but nobody seems to carry the ones I am looking for. I love this, but I am not forking out 200 dollars for a headband! So, I decided that I have to make this my DIY of the week, because I really want one. Do you girls have any suggestions other than Forever21, asos, ebay and topshop? Like I said I have been looking for a while...

Noen av favorittscenene mine fra SATC er når jentene spiser lunch og bare prater. Slik var dagen idag. Fantastisk vær som ble nytt på Cafe M med mine gode venninner. Fikk brukt polkadottkjolen for første gang, og er var veldig fornøyd med resultatet. Elsker 50 tallsformen på denne kjolen, so kan brukes enten med flip flopper eller høye hæler til feks 17 mai. Ha en fantastisk lørdag!

Dont you just love those scenes from SATC when the girls enjoy lunch and good conversation? I had such a fab day with friends in the sun. Eating lunch, enjoying dessert and just talking. Loving the shape of my new polkadott dress from H&M. Its in a great 50s style with tight waist and full skirt. So, you can either dress it up with heels or tone it down with Havainas. Got my magazines, but had so much fun, that I will have to read them tomorrow. Have a great saturday!

Hop, skip, missed a beat. Summer is here and the loving is easy. Loving those late summer nights so early in may, a rarity for us Norwegians. Still so happy I ordered the Nine Wests and as Rumi says, I am still enjoying the honeymoon phase with these heels...

Love Sarah Michelle Gellars (Buffy) fab look here. The turquoise top is gorgeous, and works wonders with the coral lips and the gold jewelry. And of course the braids! I love coral for summer, as it gives you that extra glow and can be very flattering. Just make sure you are a little tanned and find the lipstick or gloss that compliments your skin. Sarah wears Chanel Rouge Allure in Exotic, but MAC and Maybelline has a great selection as well.

Enten du er millionær eller student på budsjett, er det mulig å få en flott sommergarderobe. Har fått endel spørsmål angående dette, så her er noen av mine favoritter:

-Maxikjole i blomstertrykk og/eller en kort kjole i samme stil.

-Kilehælsko. På H&M for du disse wedgene, et superkjøp!

-Slengbukser.
-En kort innsvinget jakke som du kan bruke til kjolene og buksene.

-Tshirts med trykk er kult, så skaff deg et par i flere farger.

-Gå for gullarmbånd, turkis eller korall som er nydelig sommerfarger.

-En stor hverdagsveske og en konvoluttveske.

Either you are loaded with cash or a student, there is still hope of getting a great summerwardrobe. Here are some of my faves for summer:

-The maxidress or a short dress in flower print.

-Wedges. The ones at H&M are a bargain!

-Widelegged Jeans.

-Printed tshirts, new or vintage.

-Goldtone jewelry, turqouise or coral jewels.

-A tote and a big clutch.

These are just essentials as I am assuming that you have at least at couple of other things stashed in your closet...

Fikk endelig de etterlengtede Nine West skoene og de er superlekre. I tillegg fant jeg et gammelt TopShop skjørt som passer perfekt til blomstermoten som er så hot nå. Har hatt en helt fantastisk dag tilbragt på verdandaen med masse jordbær og magasiner. Flott sommerstemning! Tok en powerwalk etterpå og overalt ute satt folk å grillet og drakk vin, så fant ut at vi måtte gjøre det samme, så lørdagskvelden blir grilling, vin og godt selskap.

Finally got my Nine West shoes! I know many of you have them, but I am superexcited as I think I am the first girl in Norway to own a pair. On top of that I found an old TopShop skirt with flowers in my basement, perfect. Today was spent on the porch reading magazines and eating strawberries (sooo good). Later I went for a powerwalk. Off course all Norwegians were out in their yards barbecuing (its what we do when first rays of sun comes) and the smell was unbelivable! So I got my husband to barbeque, so now we are going to eat and drink some wine. Hope you also had an amazing day! Playing in my head: All Night Long, Lionel Richie.

Legg spesielt merke til den fantasiske røde kjolen fra Valentino som Jenny skal ha i en fremtidig episode. Nå skal jeg ut i solen og nyte det flotte været. Håper dere får en fin lørdag!

I just love the fab style Gossip Girls stylist Eric Daman are creating for the show. Although no show can replace SATC, I am coveting some of these girls outfits. If you want to dig into the stylist brains for some inspiration watch this and drool with me for that fab red Valentino dress that Jenny will be wearing for an upcoming episode... Anyways, somebody did a piece about this a while ago and wanted to know who the stylist was. And off course I had to serve a piece, haha. Do you have any favorite stylist and why? Day off and almost everything is closed. Great, because it means you can do nothing, without feeling bad about it. Enjoyed lunch, catched up on the magazine reads, and went to Fridays for dinner. The best part: Spending quality time with my husband and friends and carrying my new beloved handbag. What a treat! Playing in my head: Maniac from Flashdance.

Hvor jeg ønsker meg disse fantastiske skoene fra Balenciaga! Sukk, men det må bli en billigere utgave som de her, som jeg hadde innlegg om tidligere. Må passe budsjettet, siden vi drar til Paris om ikke så lenge. Men det er jo lov å drømme...

How I lust for these Balenciaga shoes! I mean come on, they are to die for. But I will have to settle for a cheaper version, so I am not breaking my budget. After all I am going to Paris and will need some spending money!
